These data point to a balance at the Kursaal in 2014 that can be categorically defined as “The Year of Recovery.”

First of all, the level of activity grew significantly with a total of 274 events. Secondly, the turnover or business volume reached 3.2 million euros, 15% higher than last year. Finally, there was a cash surplus of €481,005.00, tripling the figure from the previous year.

In 2014 Kursaal’s activity had an economic impact of 48 million euros in San Sebastian and Gipuzkoa. There were 428,054 visitors, which is an 11% increase over last year. Among the milestones in 2014, it is worth mentioning the progressive increase of corporate events, since company conventions have grown significantly, with a 76% increase in sales in this segment, the best figure since 2008. For their part in 2014, medium-size congresses saw growth (623 delegates) and one third thereof are international.
