San Sebastian, a city full of mice events in june

More than 6.000 delegates are expected to take part in the different congresses and events which have chosen San Sebastian as their meeting and incentive destination.

Medical and economic national congresses will atract more than 4.500 delegates between 3 and 5 days to San Sebastián. Some of these meetings are: Congreso Nacional de la Sociedad Española de Geriatría y Gerontología (SEGG), Congreso de la Sociedad Española de Medicina Intensiva, Crítica y Unidades Coronarias (SEMICYUC), Congreso de Economía y Empresa (AEDEM) and Congreso de Máquinas-Herramienta y Tecnologías de Fabricación (CMH).

Along with the congresses San Sebastian will become during 1 week the capital of the European Golden Oldies Rugby Tournament (EGOR) which will attract more than 1.500 people to San Sebastian during 5 days.



The Basque Culinary Center and the World Tourism Organization (OMT) have celebrated in april 2015 the first World Forum on Food Tourism in San Sebastian. A new international event created to analyze the actual situation and face future challenges in the touristic field and its different areas: knowledge, consumer tendencies, management, events´ development, communication, etc.

The main objective of this Forum is to enhance the management quality of the public sector within the gastronomic tourism field.

This forum has attracted more than 400 delegates to hear the international experts in culinary tourism which have taken part in this first edition. Among these experts were the director of the World Food Travel Association, Jorge Vallejo, chef of the prestigious restaurant Quintonil (México DF); Mitsuharu Tsumura, exponent of the peruvian culinary revolution at the restaurant Maido in Lima or Pedro Subijana chef of the Akelarre Restaurant (3 Michelin Stars).

After a successfull first edition the Food Tourism Forum is already thinking about next years´ edition.
