The Valencia Conference Centre leads the way in sustainability

In 2014 the Valencia Conference Centre’s firm commitment to sustainability has reached new heights in environmental terms thanks to recent actions carried out under the umbrella of its Global Sustainability Plan: increasing the presence detectors and the implementation of led lighting instead of traditional bulbs.

The environmental commitment included in this Plan, has contributed to the implementation of ecological initiatives, such as the installation of the photovoltaic roof which, in 2014, went past the two million kWh mark of energy generated since its start-up. It should be pointed out that 40% of the investment made in the building, a total of €9.6 million, has been spent on this type of initiatives.

In parallel, the Valencia Conference Centre’s results in 2014 reveal the dramatic increase in the number of congresses and congress delegates, which rose by 80% and 50%, respectively, over the previous year. In addition, a number of national and international congresses have been confirmed for 2015, bringing together thousands of specialists in different areas, such as the 37th National Congress of the Spanish Society of Paediatric Endocrinology, the International Headache Congress, VLC Rehab Week and the 59th Congress of the International Association of Lawyers.
